Our team was entrusted with the task of transforming multiple areas in a property overlooking the serene West Lakes. The project encompassed the design and decoration of the Master Bedroom, Office, Guest Bedroom, and the open-plan Kitchen, Dining, and Lounge. The client’s vision emphasised a beautiful and purposeful design with a minimalistic contemporary aesthetic, while also incorporating sustainable elements.
To harmonise the space, we recognised the need to repaint the property’s vanilla cream walls, opting for a weathered white hue in the hallway and open-plan areas to complement the grey floors. In the Master Bedroom, we created an intimate atmosphere by painting the walls in a moody blue shade. Additionally, we introduced a custom window seat with built-in drawers for optimal storage, selected new bed linen, wall-hung bedside tables, lamps, and a carefully chosen rug to elevate the space. A colourful custom piece, featuring a floral pattern made from ink blots, served as a striking focal point.
In the Guest Bedroom, we incorporated the existing king upholstered bed frame and an intricate wooden trunk passed down from the client’s mother, embracing a bohemian vibe and complementing the new bed linen. The Office received a fresh coat of seafoam blue paint, accompanied by new artwork, a storage unit, and a comfortable chair to cater to the client’s work-from-home needs.
Our attention turned to the kitchen, where we repainted the cabinet fronts to match the new wall colour and added a stunning slab of Cotte D’Azure marble to the island’s back, introducing texture and interest. We installed fabric pendant lights and sourced oak-time stools to enhance the overall aesthetic.
In the Dining area adjacent to the kitchen, we addressed the client’s desire for a place to play games by incorporating a dining room table, creating a cohesive and functional space. Moving into the Lounge, we highlighted the client’s plant collection and carefully configured the layout around an existing wall-hung American oak TV unit and modular sofa. To anchor the space, we selected a large textured rug, a marble coffee table, a contemporary floor lamp, and an impressive overscale artwork called “Flourish” by Ysabel Lemay, framed in acrylic.
Throughout the entire open-plan area, we installed new wave top sheer curtains, providing a soft and tactile element while preserving the captivating view. By meticulously curating each space, considering the client’s aesthetic preferences, and incorporating sustainable design elements, we successfully transformed this property into a harmonious and stylish sanctuary.
