Our firm was brought in to work on the entry, formal lounge, and dining areas, focusing on adding the finishing touches to these spaces. The client had initially engaged another designer who had let her down, leaving her dissatisfied with the furniture choices. However, she was relieved to learn that we could work with the existing sofas, coffee table, and dining table and chairs, which were beautiful pieces in themselves. We were confident that we could create a design that the client would love. The client’s selection of soft floral feminine art for the lounge room served as a starting point and influenced the creative direction for all three spaces.

A standout element in the design is the small-scale geometric pattern rug, featuring a mid-tone blue with a subtle lavender undertone and ivory accents, which serves as an anchor for the entire scheme. Additionally, new curtains were proposed for the dining room, featuring a watercolour botanical print with a plum hue, adding a touch of elegance and color to the space.

In the entry, we installed a wall-hung storage unit to discreetly store shoes and everyday essentials. Two pink velvet ottomans was placed beneath the storage unit, providing a comfortable seat for putting on shoes. Completing the space, a circular framed mirror and metal wall hooks were added for hanging school bags and coats. An acrylic tray was included to hold keys, and a pretty faux bouquet was added for a finishing touch.

For the dining room, we custom framed the client’s intricately designed Hermes scarf and used it as art, creating a captivating graphic pop of colour that becomes a focal point in the room.

Through careful attention to detail and a keen understanding of the client’s vision, we successfully transformed the entry, formal lounge, and dining areas into inviting and cohesive spaces. Despite the challenge of working with pre-selected furniture, we seamlessly integrated these pieces into the overall design, creating a harmonious and stylish environment. With our expertise and professionalism, we were able to exceed the client’s expectations, delivering a beautiful home that truly reflects her taste and preferences.
