This project began with a client who had lost confidence in the design process after a disappointing experience elsewhere. Engaged to complete the entry, formal lounge, and dining spaces, our role was to bring clarity, cohesion, and a sense of confidence back to the home—proving that with the right approach, even partially completed spaces can be beautifully resolved.
Importantly, not everything needed to be reimagined. The client already owned several beautiful foundational pieces, including the sofas, coffee table, and dining setting, all of which deserved to remain part of the story. Rather than replacing quality furnishings unnecessarily, our focus became one of refinement—layering thoughtfully around what already existed to create a home that felt cohesive, polished, and unmistakably personal.
The creative direction began with a collection of softly feminine floral artwork selected for the formal lounge, which set the tone for the broader palette. From there, the scheme evolved through layered colour, texture, and considered detail. A geometric rug in nuanced blue tones with subtle lavender undertones became an anchoring moment within the living space, while elegant dining drapery in a painterly botanical print introduced softness and movement.
In the entry, practicality was approached with the same attention to aesthetics. A streamlined wall-hung storage solution provided discreet organisation for everyday essentials, while upholstered ottomans introduced both comfort and a gentle note of colour. Layered with thoughtful finishing details, the result feels as functional as it is welcoming.
One of the more personal moments within the home was the transformation of the dining room through the custom framing of the client’s Hermès scarf—repurposed as statement artwork to introduce colour, pattern, and individuality in a way that felt both sophisticated and deeply meaningful.
The finished spaces feel layered, elegant, and entirely resolved—a reminder that great design is not always about beginning again, but about recognising the potential in what already exists and bringing it together with intention.
