When our firm was approached to assist with the renovation of this cherished family home, which had spanned two generations, we recognised the need to breathe new life into the spaces that had become dated and no longer reflected the client’s evolving aesthetic and lifestyle. Our role involved developing comprehensive design plans, including 3D renderings and detailed joinery drawings for the renovation of the kitchen, dining, and living areas. We worked in close collaboration with the homeowner’s team of selected tradespeople to bring the project to fruition.

To infuse the new spaces with a moody and sophisticated ambiance, we curated a palette featuring chocolate woods, marble, and rich textiles. Textural wallpapers with a seagrass cloth finish, adorned with iridescent mica glass beads, were selected and applied to add warmth and depth to the walls. The lounge room received a luxurious touch with a custom-made roman blind crafted from an embroidered fabric that not only adds personality but also provides a tactile element. Stepping through the front door, a custom-made console table takes center stage, its circular frame echoing the surrounding mirror and creating a harmonious visual flow.

Recognising the value of the client’s existing high-quality timber furniture pieces, we took care to incorporate them into the new design scheme. The pieces underwent refinishing to remove scuffs and damage accumulated over the years. Additionally, the dining chairs were reupholstered, breathing new life into them and ensuring they seamlessly integrated with the overall aesthetic. To complete the spaces, we carefully curated accessory pieces to style the shelves flanking the fireplace, adding the finishing touches and enhancing the overall visual appeal.

The transformation of the home has resulted in a luxe and sophisticated aesthetic that has garnered numerous compliments from guests who have had the pleasure of experiencing it.
